What to Expect on the AP World History Exam

The AP World exam will be unlike any test you have taken before... but during the year we will practice each kind of question that is on the exam. When May comes around, although students will not know exactly what the questions will consist of, they will at least know what to expect :-)

Note Bene: Since the Multiple Choice part is 55 min. long and contains 70 questions, the student must answer one question every 45 seconds in order to complete the section. As well, this is a test of endurance as much as it is of knowledge. Today's students often have NEVER sat in one spot and completed a long writing assignment with no breaks, hard thinking, planning and organization, and in a high-stakes outcome. This means a lot of pressure is on the test taker. In class, we 'condition' students to succeed on the test by practicing the actual format and style of the questions.
