                        AND DESCRIPTION This EUH 1000 course covers the  origins and development of Western Civilization,
beginning with the Classical  civilizations of the ancient world and dealing
with the contributions of each major historical group until the emergence of
modern Europe in the commercial revolution of the 16th Century. The
emphases are upon the social, economic and cultural trends of each period. This
course includes a 6,000 word writing requirement to satisfy the Gordon Rule. A
